Imazethapyr is an imidazolinone ALS (acetolactate synthase) inhibiting herbicide used for pre-emergence and early post-emergence control of broadleaf and grass weeds in soybean, groundnut, and other legume crops. It acts by blocking the enzyme ALS, disrupting branched-chain amino acid biosynthesis in susceptible plants. Imazethapyr is absorbed by both roots and foliage with good systemic distribution. AB Enterprises supplies Imazethapyr technical grade to agrochemical formulators producing SL, SC, and WDG herbicide products.
