Sulfosulfuron is a sulfonylurea herbicide that acts by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS), blocking branched-chain amino acid synthesis in susceptible grass and broadleaf weeds. It provides excellent post-emergence control of wild oat, phalaris, and broadleaf weeds in wheat and is particularly valued for its extended soil residual activity. Sulfosulfuron has both foliar and root uptake with rapid systemic translocation, ensuring thorough weed control even in challenging conditions.
