Glyceryl Tribehenate is a triester of glycerol and behenic acid (C22), functioning as a high-melting wax and consistency agent in cosmetics, lip care products, and color cosmetics. Its long-chain saturated fatty acid structure provides excellent hardness, shine, and slip in lipsticks and lip balms while acting as an emollient and occlusive agent. It also finds use as a pharmaceutical lipid excipient for controlled-release formulations.
